I was born and raised in Miami, FL.  I have always made drawings. I started college as a fine arts major, but graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from University of North Florida. I’m a self-taught digital artist. My first Macintosh computer, purchased in 1984, was my first “laptop”. I would carry it into ad agencies and work on-site. Seeing that this gave me enormous freedom, I finally embraced my full independence as a freelance artist in 1993 and never looked back.

My career includes three decades of working in the realm of graphic design and art direction. Over the past four years I embarked on a journey back to my roots as a visual artist, creating work that is relevant to my personal growth. I am inspired by street art, immersion in nature and channeling my emotions into visual allegory. In 2019 I moved my studio from South Florida to the Pacific Northwest. My artwork is tagged with my studio name: PICTURESWITHIN.
